See the thing is Iowa didn't lawyer up for these incidents at all. They had a rulebook, self reported violations no matter how minor, and took their punishment like gentlemen, because otherwise they'd look like shameless garbage people

I really don't blame the NCAA for this, they actually suspended Sorsby. It was Texas Tech that pulled this bullshit to avoid it. What the NCAA need to do now is declare that any game where Sorsby plays is an automatic forfeit.

Nope, no complaints by anyone, including Harbaugh. But Ferentz is a stickler for the rules, self reported the 'impermissable contact,' and gave himself a 1-game coaching suspension. To which the NCAA added 4 "vacated wins."
To this day, the ONLY program the NCAA has ever sanctioned for 'tampering' is Iowa. For contacting Cade McNamara at Michigan like 15 minutes before he declared for the portal. Literally nobody cared at Michigan, because JJ McCarthy had replaced him after his injury.
This is Noah Shannon, model citizen, slated to be Hawkeye senior defensive captain 2023. He had guilt pangs for having bet $10 on the Iowa Women's Basketball team in the 2023 NCAA tournament. The only bet he ever made. He turned himself in to coaches for the transgression who forwarded it to the NCAA.
They ruled him inelligible for the entire season, effectively ending his career. If the NCAA allows someone else to play after making thousands of bets, including many on his own team, I am going to fucking riot
