@KateMolleson @BBCRadio3 Thanks for the reminder — a superb composer. There's not much chance of me catching the broadcast at its new time, but I'll try to catch up later.
The group that I ran in Aberdeen from 1999 to 2005 is launching a 30th anniversary anthology, and I'm pleased to say they've asked me to read a poem at their launch event. Great to see Lemon Tree Writers going from strength to strength! Please come along if you can! #newriters
My album "House of Pitfour" was released four years ago today, on Leap Day 2020. It takes us on a dream-like guided tour of an imaginary stately home, visiting the fitted vestibule, the marble escalator, the engine chamber and the communication shaft.

@deeplyclassical Messiaen's "Turangalîla-Symphonie" — I've taken friends with little or no experience of live concerts to hear this on several occasions, always with the desired effect!
Trombonist Emily White will be well known to listeners in Huntly and the surrounding area. Tomorrow she is the presenter on BBC Radio 3's "Inside Music". Catch her on air at 1pm, or afterwards via BBC Sounds.

A lovely bit of radio about the cultural resonances of Eilean nan Ròn, abandoned by its crofters in 1938. What I hadn't realised before is that it had only been settled in the first place in about 1820, so the folklore had grown up in just over a century.

My good friend Colin Edwards made a new musical instrument. I haven't been well enough to do much with it yet, but here's a quick improvisation.

It's that time of year when musicians publish their annual Spotify statistics. Well I can tell you I have had zero streams from zero listeners in zero countries, totalling zero hours of listening on Spotify. (1/3)
You can, however, find my music on Bandcamp, which offers free streaming at MP3 quality and downloads at CD quality with more of what you pay going to the artist. And on 1 December, Bandcamp Friday, all the revenue goes to the artist without charging a handling fee. (2/3)
Poetry in Union Terrace Gardens, Aberdeen, tomorrow, outside Common Sense Cafe (or inside if weather demands). Begins at 1pm. I'm early in the running order, so please be there on time for the start! #newriters
Last year I received a call telling me there was a piano in a field that was about to be dismantled for upcycling, and asking if I wanted to do anything with it whilst it was still intact. Here's a little fragment....
