@DVADigital323 Totk changes the formula FAR too much to even consider it a good zelda game, let alone the 2nd game. Biggest issue imo is that it goes from a medieval high fantasy action adventure game, to a psuedo futuristic survival crafting game. MM, OoT, aLttP, SS, BotW, TP/WW, in that order

@GWOtaku That's cool and all, but talk about how my medieval high-fantasy action adventure game suddenly became a pseudo-futuristic survival crafting game. Suddenly being able to make planes, cars, mechs, hoverbikes... just feels wrong in Zelda. Ancient sky tech or not.

@TheIshikawaRin Bit of lore for ya. TP was the devs response after the community sperged out over the old E3 trailer during the gamecube era. It was this cool sword fight between Link and Ganon. Then the next Zelda they announced was WindWaker. Fans were pissed. TP came next in response to that.

@NOD_Goblin_Nico I've never watched her content personally, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but my only genuine concern is that we've seen time and time again that with rebranding, the chances that the audience that got her to this point will be kicked to the curb and abandoned aren't 0.

@ZeldaGarf I hated the blueprint mechanic. Zelda has always felt like a medieval high fantasy action adventure game. So to suddenly introduce crafting cars, planes, mechs etc... it just felt wrong

@miiyashei If you're talking about where they did the 3d battle trailer for link and Ganon, that came out before Windwaker. Thatz why everyone was so mad about the cell shading. We got a twilight princess- like trailer for the first gamecube zelda game, then they gave us windwaker

@stormythalamus I hated the blueprints. I get lore-wise, that we finally got to meet the "mysterious race in the sky", but Zelda has always felt like a medieval high-fantasy game, so suddenly being able to build planes, mechs, etc... felt wrong. Spirit Tracks was weird too, but more forgivable.

@Jaiydanimate I don't understand how people dont remember that the fans were the ones that made the timeline to begin with. Nintendo just confirmed and adopted it before releasing the Hyrule Historia. It was around the Twilight Princess Era.

@zweiwalker89607 Actually, fun fact... the Timeline wasn't around until around Twilight Princess as it was originally created by the fans on the internet and then confirmed and adopted by Nintendo before releasing the Hyrule Historia. Gonna sound old saying this, but I was there lol

@sistaofpeace1 posted an image of the timeline we made, with edits, giving us the fallen timeline. It sent waves through the community at the time. There was also back and forth on whether Hyrule Warriors should be added since the gameplay was so different, but Nintendo denied it.
