While we all associate fat embolism syndrome with trauma and long bone fractures... It turns out that mechanical disruption to adipocytes from fatty liver and hepatic necrosis, combined with a hypercoagulable state, may facilitate fat embolism syndromes too! 📚

☑️ Hepatitis B
☑️ MMR
☑️ Tdap / Td booster
☑️ Varicella

Records of these are crucial for aways and clerkships too! Plus, staying current with adult vaccines, like ☑️Seasonal flu, is key for a smooth process too 😊

#IMGs make sure to double check requirements before starting observerships / clinical rotations, and bring proof of vaccination / immunity, as some vaccines can cost up to $200 per dose without insurance.✨💫
