Why is Imran Khan in jail?

I considered making videos breaking down the cases Imran Khan has been arrested in to discuss the merits of the case but any such discussion would be futile because the only reason Imran Khan is in jail today is because the Establishment in Pakistan wants him there.

So I’d much rather talk about how we got here. How did the ladla go from the Prince who was promised to the new minus one? And how did the old minus one go from convict to the next presumed Prime Minister?

For the record, I think all the major cases against Imran Khan have merit. The Cypher conspiracy from Imran Khan was a lie and compromised our national security. Imran Khan illegally made millions from selling Tosha Khana gifts that he didn’t declare. And Imran Khan obviously gave Malik Riaz billions that belonged to the Government of Pakistan and Malik Riaz absolutely repaid in the Al Qadr University case.

All of this is irrelevant to today’s discussion because the question is:

Why does all the corruption of the politicians only become relevant when the Establishment wants to use it against them?

The foreign funding case against PTI, where the senior leadership of PTI was seen to steal millions, was on ice for years while PTI was the Establishment’s political wing.

Imran Khan became Prime Minister while he was out on bail from the Anti Terrorism Court in the 2014 Parliament attack case.

None of it mattered then because the Establishment wanted Nawaz Sharif gone. The sham judgment in the Panama case was pushed through just to remove Nawaz Sharif from the political landscape.

Today, those judgments against Nawaz Sharif have been quashed, and a judicial circus was set up to hasten Imran Khan’s arrest in midnight courts and sham proceedings.

Both Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif may have done massive corruption but the Judiciary bending over backwards at the Establishment’s bidding destroys the credibility of all political, judicial and state institutions.

And it is too simplistic to say all the politicians should come together today to push the Establishment back and regain the space for civilian supremacy.

PPP and PMLN did exactly that two decades ago when they signed the Charter of Democracy but the Establishment created Imran Khan to derail democracy again in Pakistan.

Today, how do we expect Nawaz Sharif to sit down with Imran Khan when barely a couple of years ago when Imran Khan was drunk with power, Nawaz Sharif’s daughter wad arrested infront of his eyes? When his wife was dying PTI leaders, supporters and anchors were making fun of Kulsoom Nawaz’s illness?

The Charter of Democracy was not perfect but it was a step forward for Pakistan, it was Imran Khan who destroyed that new political reality and brought Pakistan back to a politics of vengeance, and that is what he will see now from the Sharifs, he has been thrown into the grave he was digging for his political opponents, and that is where he will stay till the Establishment needs him again to use him against the Sharifs and PPP.

Will I have any sympathy for Nawaz Sharif when he is removed two years down the line? No

When he strike deals with the Establishment to gain power, don’t invoke democratic principles when the same Establishment removes you - Imran Khan used to call General Bajwa the father of the quam when he rigged the system to make Khan PM but when he was removed suddenly the same General Bajwa became Mir Sadiq and Mir Jafer.

The more things change, the more they stay the same, we are seeing a repeat of the 2018 selection, just that the boot is on the other foot.

Nothing is permanent in Pakistan though. The Sharifs will also one day fall into the grave they are digging for Khan today.

The only thing that remains constant is that the House always wins and Democracy continues to be biggest reality show in Pakistan.

Gutter show by Shahzeb Khanzada with a known corrupt customs officer. Absolutely shameless things happening just to malign #ImranKhan.
It seems we’ve lost all ikhlaaq just in bughz- e -Imran Khan.
If doing interviews of those abducted and forced on shows was sad, then this it’s disgraceful. When will we take our heads out the gutter & work towards in fixing a country which needs all the help it can get?

The heart of a blue whale, which can weigh in excess of 1,300 lbs (590 kg), is the size of a small car. The gigantic heart beats 8 to 10 times per minute, and each heartbeat can be heard from over 2 miles (3.2 km) away. Their arteries are so large that a full adult-sized human can swim through them.

At birth, a baby blue whale is already 25 ft long (the size of an adult killer whale) and can drink up to 150 gallons (568 liters) of milk a day, gaining as much as 200 lbs (90 kg) per day in its first year. They feed almost exclusively on krill, which are small, shrimp-like invertebrates that are on average only 1 or 2 centimeters long. They eat 4 to 6 tons of krill a day. It's fascinating that throughout history, Earth has been home to some of the biggest animals, but the largest one of them all exists in our timeline, swimming in the deep ocean right now.
