@authorbjordan My husband was revered by his grandmother, who referred to his mom (her daughter, who took care of her) as “stupid. My MIL has said “I don’t know who would have her” about his sister (her daughter).
@Skyphly My paternal grandmother did it to my parents, who were privileged, college-educated 21- and 22-year olds at the time, married before the baby was born, and stayed married for 12 years and had 3 more kids together. We were deprived of a sibling.
