I'm a final year student there, and every year HOs have to protest for their salaries. This cycle is never ending, each year @murtazawahab1 come and make promises and then disappear for one more year until new batch start protesting again.

Look after Abbasi Shaheed Hospital which is your responsibility. Doctors there are being targeted. There is no security for doctors at all. And then they are not being paid properly and timely

🚨 180 House Officers at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, including 70% women doctors, are pleading for help.

We are working 30+ hour shifts, three times a week, yet many of us are not being paid according to the government-approved stipend of Rs69,600. Instead, our offer letters mention only Rs45,000.

In June alone, we faced multiple mob attacks in the Emergency Department. Security personnel and staff often leave first, forcing young doctors, especially female house officers, to face violent mobs alone. We have heard gunfire outside the Emergency and genuinely fear for our lives.

Today, while peacefully protesting for our rights, some hospital staff allegedly harassed us, pulled our dupattas and used abusive language.

We have video evidence and official documents to support our claims.

We are not asking for privileges. We are asking for:
✅ Safety at work
✅ Protection from harassment
✅ Payment of our lawful stipend
✅ Dignity and respect for young doctors serving patients day and night

We are only a few months into our careers and already feel abandoned by the very system we serve.

We urge the authorities, fellow doctors, journalists and civil society to help amplify our voices and ensure justice.

سپریم کورٹ آف پاکستان میں منعقدہ جیل اصلاحات کانفرنس سے وزیراعلیٰ خیبرپختونخوا محمد سہیل آفریدی کا خطاب!

وزیراعلیٰ سہیل آفریدی نے مطالبہ کیا کہ جیل اصلاحات کا آغاز اڈیالہ جیل سے کیا جائے، جہاں عمران خان ناحق قید ہیں۔ انہوں نے چیف جسٹس سے مطالبہ کیا کہ عمران خان کو تمام آئینی، قانونی اور بنیادی حقوق فوری طور پر فراہم کیے جائیں۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ عمران خان کی صحت جیل میں شدید متاثر ہوئی ہے اور ان کی آنکھ کی بینائی 85 فیصد تک متاثر ہو چکی ہے، جس کی ذمہ داری متعلقہ انتظامیہ پر عائد ہوتی ہے۔ مناسب اور بروقت طبی علاج ہر قیدی کا بنیادی حق ہے۔

وزیراعلیٰ نے مطالبہ کیا کہ عمران خان کو ذاتی معالجین سے علاج کرانے کی فوری اجازت دی جائے اور انہیں اپنے بیٹوں سے ویڈیو لنک کے ذریعے بات کرنے کی بھی اجازت دی جائے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ عمران خان کی بہنوں کو ملاقات کی اجازت نہیں دی جا رہی، جبکہ انتظار کے دوران ان کے ساتھ ناروا سلوک کیا جاتا ہے۔ انہوں نے واٹر کینن کے استعمال کو بھی بند کرنے کا مطالبہ کیا۔

وزیراعلیٰ نے کہا کہ جمہوری نظام میں سیاسی جماعتوں کو جلسے کرنے کی آزادی ہونی چاہیے، مگر یہاں جلسہ ہوتے ہی ایف آئی آر درج کر لی جاتی ہے، حتیٰ کہ کم سن بچوں کے خلاف بھی دہشت گردی کے مقدمات قائم کیے جاتے ہیں۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ خیبرپختونخوا حکومت جیلوں کو روایتی قید خانوں سے حقیقی اصلاحی مراکز میں تبدیل کرنے کے مشن پر عمل پیرا ہے۔ صوبے میں جیلوں کی سیکیورٹی مضبوط بنانے کے لیے ایک ارب 40 کروڑ روپے مختص کیے گئے ہیں۔

پانچ سینٹرل جیلوں کو جدید سیکیورٹی آلات فراہم کیے جا چکے ہیں، جبکہ دوسرے مرحلے میں سات ڈسٹرکٹ جیلوں کو بھی جدید سہولیات فراہم کی جا رہی ہیں۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ قیدیوں کو باعزت اور کارآمد شہری بنانے کے لیے جیلوں میں صنعتیں اور کارخانے قائم کیے گئے ہیں۔ جیل مصنوعات کے منافع کا 30 فیصد حصہ قیدیوں کو دیا جاتا ہے تاکہ انہیں روزگار کے مواقع میسر آئیں۔ ٹیوٹا کے تعاون سے اسکل ڈویلپمنٹ پروگرامز کے تحت اب تک 455 سرٹیفکیٹ�� جاری کیے جا چکے ہیں۔

خیبرپختونخوا ملک کا پہلا صوبہ ہے جہاں جیلوں میں ای وزٹ نظام متعارف کرایا گیا۔ اس سہولت کے ذریعے اب تک 13 ہزار 438 افراد اپنے اہلِ خانہ سے آن لائن ملاقات کر چکے ہیں۔

پشاور ہائی کورٹ کے تعاون سے جیلوں میں ورچوئل کورٹس قائم کی گئی ہیں، جہاں ہر ماہ تقریباً ساڑھے سات ہزار قیدیوں کی ورچوئل پیشیاں کرائی جاتی ہیں۔

جیلوں میں بین الاقوامی معیار کے ماڈل انٹرویو رومز قائم کیے گئے ہیں، جن سے روزانہ تقریباً 800 ملاقاتی مستفید ہوتے ہیں۔ اسی طرح ڈرگ ری ہیبیلیٹیشن سینٹرز کے ذریعے اب تک ایک ہزار 614 قیدیوں کا علاج کیا جا چکا ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ جیلوں میں جدید لیبارٹریاں، ایکسرے مشینیں اور دیگر طبی سہولیات فراہم کی گئی ہیں، جبکہ ضرورت پڑنے پر قیدیوں کو بہتر علاج کے لیے جیل سے باہر ہسپتالوں میں بھی منتقل کیا جاتا ہے۔

وزیراعلیٰ نے کہا کہ خیبرپختونخوا حکومت جیل اصلاحات، انسانی وقار کے تحفظ اور قیدیوں کی فلاح و بہبود کے ایجنڈے کو مزید مؤثر انداز میں آگے بڑھائے گی۔

انہوں نے چیف جسٹس آف پاکستان جسٹس یحییٰ آفریدی کی جانب سے جیل اصلاحات کانفرنس کے انعقاد کو خوش آئند اقدام قرار دیا۔
