For 13 years, Namjoon has shown us who he is not through a single moment, a single controversy, or someone else’s interpretation of him, but through his words, his actions, his music, his values, and the way he has consistently lived his life.
He has spoken openly about respect, equality, art, society, and the importance of listening and learning. His respect for women and his thoughtful engagement with social issues are part of the person he has repeatedly shown himself to be. No controversy, no selective narrative, and no attempt to interpret his intentions in bad faith can erase 13 years of who RM has been.
For 13 years, he has given so much of himself to BTS and ARMY. His time, his heart, his creativity, his voice, his strength, and countless pieces of his life. We have watched him grow, learn, reflect, and continue moving forward while carrying an enormous weight on his shoulders.
We stand with RM.
We believe in RM.
We trust in RM.
And we will continue to support him regardless of who chooses to include or exclude his name from any list.
Our love and support for Namjoon are not conditional. They do not depend on a title, a list, an organization, or anyone else’s approval.
When he is celebrated, we celebrate him.
When he is misunderstood, we remind the world of who he is.
And when he is facing difficult times, we do not turn our backs on him.

We stand together in SUPPORTING, PROTECTING, and DEFENDING RM.

I’m firmly against The Pixel Project’s decision to suspend RM.

Taking a photo at a concert and sharing a moment with another artist does not automatically equal endorsing every past action of that person. Chris Brown has a well-documented history, and critics are right to find that history disturbing. But treating a single backstage picture as proof that RM is now somehow complicit in normalizing violence is a stretch. Guilt by association this loose quickly becomes selective outrage.
RM spent years publicly engaging with feminism, correcting earlier lyrics, platforming female artists, and speaking about violence against women in a society that often resists those conversations. One photo and a period of silence do not erase that record overnight. Public figures meet and photograph with dozens of people whose personal histories they do not fully control or endorse. Demanding constant public statements every time that happens sets an impossible standard that almost no celebrity could meet.
The Pixel Project’s own earlier praise of RM as an imperfect but evolving role model acknowledged that growth is messy. Suddenly declaring the growth invalid because of this association undercuts that logic. Accountability matters. So does proportion. Indefinitely removing him from the list over this feels more like institutional signaling than a measured response to actual harm he caused.
Fans are free to feel disappointed. Organizations are free to reassess. But treating a concert photo as disqualifying evidence of bad character is the kind of overreach that makes people stop taking these lists seriously.

なぜBTSは世界中の人々から愛されるのだろう。
（全くの個人的な感想です。）

私は、その理由の一つは「微笑ましさ」だと思っている。
バンドやグループは、成功すればするほど難しくなる。
それぞれがスターになり、
「もっと評価されたい」
誰がセンターなのか。
誰が一番人気なのか。
誰が多く歌い、
誰が多く稼ぐのか。
と思うのは、ごく自然なことだ。

そうした比較や競争が積み重なり、
「音楽性の違い」という言葉を残して、
それぞれの道を歩むグループを私たちは数多く見てきた。

でも、BTSは少し違うように見える。 彼らは、
JIMINのダンスを称え、
J-Hopeの表現力に感動し、
RMとSUGAのラップを唯一無二だと語る。
Vの声と人柄を愛し、
JKの歌声を誇りに思い、
JINの存在感や人間性を心から尊敬している。

「この人がいてくれるからBTSなんだ。」

そんな思いが、言葉や行動の端々から伝わってくる。
もちろん、私たちが見ているのは彼らのすべてではない。 それでも、彼らを見ていると、
「兄弟」や「家族」という言葉だけでは表せない、
存在そのものを認め合い、愛し合っているような関係が伝わってくる。

だから見ていて微笑ましいのだ。

実は私自身、「ライバルをうらやましい」と思ったことがないと言えば嘘になる。
もっと正直に言えば、「邪魔だな……」と思ってしまったことだってある。
人間だから、それは自然な感情だと思う。

だからこそ、あれほど才能ある7人が、
お互いを認め、支え合い、十数年もの間、一つのグループとして歩み続けていることが、
どれほど尊く、奇跡的なことなのかがわかる。

世界中の人々がBTSに惹かれる理由は、音楽やパフォーマンスだけではない。
そこには、私たちがどこかで憧れている「愛の形」がある。
だから彼らは、世界を魅了し続けるのだと思う。

そして今、BTSが世界に示している「音楽に国境はない」という姿勢と、お互いを尊重し合うその愛のあり方こそ、
本当はグラミー賞が学ぶべきものなのではないだろうか。
