we're aiming for an annyeong launch sometime around September 10–15
BUT we're still deep in testing + debugging, so I can't promise the exact date yet 😭

we're really really trying. there are just a lot of things that need to be checked properly before we let everyone in

that's why the quiz is randomized + timed (10 sec per question), and leaving the app during the quiz automatically forfeits the attempt. so you can't really stop to look things up or ask AI while taking it.

Spotify listening history is probably one of the strongest signals because it shows actual listening behaviour over time, but we're trying to build several signals to check who's genuinely part of ARMY

annyeong is built for ARMY and we're giving members a few ways to check who they're connecting with.

right now we have:
– an ARMY knowledge quiz that gives you an ARMY Verified badge if you pass
– a Discover filter so you can choose to only see ARMY Verified members
– Spotify listening history with top artists, songs + streaming stats
and we want to keep adding more verification signals, quizzes, games, badges and challenges over time.
so you can choose to only discover members who have actually demonstrated that they're ARMY

I know, that's such a hard part, because no app can know someone's intentions just from signing up

but we're using several layers of protection so everyone can enjoy finding friends while staying safe: ARMY verification, account and behaviour signals, reporting + blocking, moderation, age-based discovery restrictions, and never sharing someone's exact location.

we've also built safeguards into Discover so you can connect with other ARMY while still having control over your privacy and who you interact with.

and we're always listening, reviewing what works and looking for ways to make the community safer as we grow 💜
