@txsportsdoc I tread very lightly as an EM provider. All the time we have patients asking “will I need surgery?”, and all the time I just tell people that the surgeon is coming to talk to you and will discuss your options with you🤷‍♂️

@lemmmon_pie @ohwellyes EM residency classes range from 6-16/class. It is possible to transfer but it isn’t typical within the same specialty without extremely unique circumstances. It would be more likely that someone decides after intern year that they want to do a different specialty and transfer.

PSA:
