De Staat kan je dus vervolgen, financieel slopen en vervolgens tegen je zeggen:

Bewijs maar dat wij fout zaten. Met bewijs dat grotendeels bij ons ligt.

Dit is geen rechtsgelijkheid.

Dit is een overheid met dwangmacht, belastinggeld, rechercheurs, officieren en een informatievoorsprong tegenover één burger die na zijn vrijspraak tussen de brokstukken mag proberen zijn gelijk nóg een keer te bewijzen.

Wie iemand met harde criminele staatsmacht kapotmaakt, moet volledige openheid geven en voor aantoonbaar onrechtmatig handelen volledig aansprakelijk zijn.

Here is how the machine works. Brussels guarantees prices above the market, so farmers in Beauce and Picardy plant more wheat, sugar beet, and dairy than Europeans can consume. The surplus piles up. The infamous butter mountains and wine lakes of the 1980s were not jokes: they were warehouses full of products created by decree against the wishes of every actual buyer. So the EU dumps the excess abroad, subsidized again on the way out, undercutting farmers in Senegal, Ghana, and Kenya who never received a centime from Paris.

A farmer in Burkina Faso wakes up to find European tomato paste and frozen chicken selling cheaper in his own village market than what he can produce from his own soil. He cannot compete with a treasury. No one can. He abandons the land, moves to the city, and joins the queue for the next development grant funded by the same governments that wrecked his livelihood. The aid budget cleans up after the agriculture budget. Magnificent.

This is Bastiat's broken window with a passport. You see the tidy French countryside, the photogenic vineyards, the minister cutting a ribbon. The God of Scripture descends in humility, entering history not to conquer empires, but to conquer sin and death. He calls His followers to love their enemies, to forgive the undeserving, to serve without reward.

He values the broken, restores the fallen, and grants dignity to the outcast. He invites humanity to walk with Him, not just kneel before Him.

The god of Muhammad offers none of this. He demands fear. He demands allegiance. He demands death to those who will not conform.

He is not a father, he is a Master, his followers are not children, they are slaves, martyrs, and soldiers.

The biblical God is the standard we rise to meet. The Islamic god is the mirror that justifies who we already are.

One calls man upward. The other pulls him downward, wrapping his worst instincts in religious language, and calling it righteousness
