So…. after a ridiculous year of poor behaviour from chdn and parents I’m starting to feel hope and a sense of purpose again.
Amazing the difference that one cohort moving on can make.
Let’s hope my optimism is well placed 😀

I’ve not updated in a while, I don’t like posting negativity and I don’t have much positivity to spread. However, I’m here, I’m ploughing on through the relentlessness. I’m looking forward to coming out of the other side whenever that may be!

@_MrLevick @AnnisbrownJ @manxbenji If it’s ambition I discovered the communities don’t count to your attendance % so stopped attending as they added no value for me. Also didn’t meet with my buddy once as she dropped out so I didn’t request another.

Day 2 of having the children back. Last term was tough, this term (no doubt) will be tough. BUT today was a lovely day, lots of smiley faces from children and staff and I felt pretty productive. Let’s hope it continues for the this week at least.

And just to be clear… all HR procedures were followed correctly, I don’t want to do this and absolutely am not trying to take advantage of groups staff!

Today I had to speak to support staff about reducing their hours so I can avoid redundancies! They were all amazing even though I could see the worry in their eyes. I hate being in this position and doing this to such important team members who are already underpaid! 😩

Today I had a visit from a head from ‘my MAT’ that I’ve not worked with much. She was so lovely and supportive, it really does make all the difference to hear that you’re doing ok from someone who’s sitting in the same chair and understand the reality of your day to day. 😀

@cococrazy85 Some absolutely, some not so much! I have however, survived with enough strength and determination to face the next 100! 😀

Day 100!!! (not as monumental as I’d imagined)
- all the gates
- checking reports
- strike letter
- new classes letter
- teacher stress support meetings (one no longer feels like she needs them 🙌)
- NPQH clinic

Day 99
- MAT (now an assoc member) head’s meeting.
- LSA meetings about next year
- Trauma informed sch twilight (2 disaggregated insets now so a long wkend for me)
- challenging conversations with teachers who disagree with some of my decisions about next year

- attended my daughters sports day this morning, setting the example to staff for work life balance
- worked from home this pm
- sent email updating staff on MAT progress
- governing body stuff
- NPQH

- zoom with local heads about upcoming meeting with MP to share budget deficits
- safeguarding
- sorting Sept staffing (LSAs and middays)
- new safeguarding software demo
- learning walk
- SLT meeting

Day 96 (I was too tired to do day 95)
- all the gates
- interviews for fixed term LSAs x5
- strike email to teachers
- organising Governor stuff
- time in classes celebrating learning completed by the chdn 🤩

- regional heads briefing
- emails

I was really looking forward to a day celebrating teaching and learning tomorrow. Instead I’ll be dealing with the fall out of a kitchen falling out and more mediation of MAT vs current govs 😩

- discussions about next years classes with teacher - no tears 🙌
- regular catch up with juniors head
- more mat discussions
- bit of curriculum work
- after meeting for new rec intake parents

- meeting with Chair of board of MAT we’re trying to join
- behaviour strategy meeting with teacher who will be leading area from Sept
- lots of opening and locking secure store for phonics screening
- parent brought me 🍦 on the gate
- SLT meeting

- budgeting
- working on MAT paperwork
- supporting upset AHT
- 1 hour catching up on NPQH
- admin
Now on a 2 hour meeting with my parent governor hat on for my chds school

- liaising with potential new MAT to agree an interim SLA whilst waiting for the RSC decision (so many acronyms)
- more work on curriculum
- tchr stress support meeting
