“Sea don’t” vs sea doo. Hoping the @ParkBoard votes to protect beaches, swimmers & wildlife from sea doo/jet skis & boats . No white swim buoys here. 311 complaints never answered. Forgotten beach of management. #vanpoli#parkboard https://t.co/CbCAm9gOxw No replies ever.
In BC nearly all of the medical research money goes to the 25% of the population in one geographic location. I am told I am out of line for speaking up. Health Equity becomes virtue signalling when where you live determines if you can be researched.
Far too many jet skis endangering whales, other wildlife & us. Too fast, too furious & too dangerous. Strictly enforce existing safe distance laws too…boats/jet skis away from Swimming areas too. @DFO_Pacific @P@VPDMarineUnit @CityofVancouver@PortVancouver@HedyFry@KenSimCity

The pilot who died after the collision on the tarmac at New York's LaGuardia Airport was from Coteau-du-Lac Quebec. He was 30-year-old Antoine Forest. Rest in peace ❤️🇨🇦

@Conservative_BC Why not call on Eby to reinstate the work we’d been doing for 20 years - give us the data we were promised so that British Columbians have hard facts about addiction, homelessness, and crime?
@TheRealMenToo Finally! About time that @WHO acknowledges men’s health neglect. Now time to unlearn the out of date & sometimes biased research findings to address health equity for boys & men too, including here in Canada. Thanks for sharing this @TheRealMenToo
We honour the memory of legendary #Oneida actor, #GrahamGreene, who opened doors for Indigenous storytellers in film and television. His powerful performances, including his Oscar-nominated role in "Dances with Wolves," brought an authentic Indigenous voice to screens worldwide.
Finally the World Health Organisation has acknowledged men's health has been neglected:
"Men and women are treated as competing populations, with men somehow less deserving of attention. Yet, given the evidence on health access and outcomes, men are clearly the furthest behind."

It's critical to understand the process and criteria, and I think having the people behind it who objected speak out is important. Cases like Charleigh's that are (apparently) at odds with the process should be used to strengthen that process.
The main part of article that I wish people would focus on is this:
Amid the controversy, an honest conversation about the health-care system is needed, said Sirrs.
“We have emergency rooms closed. We have no ambulances available in small communities. We have huge waiting lists. We have surgeries that are not getting done. We can’t provide cancer care in a timely setting.
“Our public health care system is crumbling, and we need to have an honest conversation with people, and not trying to look at it through rose-coloured glasses.”
I could not agree more with this. Starting with what we're paying, what we're using it for, what results we're getting, what we should be able to expect, and who is responsible for making sure our health system is delivering.
