Worth a read, especially this bit:
#MyHealthRecord affords some dynamic consent mechanisms, these typically rely on a digitally literate and engaged consumer. These tensions regarding consent sit uneasily with a national system that is unlikely to incorporate individual needs,
Set against backdrop of the Australian #MyHealthRecord, this article examines technoutopian portrayals of digital health, practicalities for engaging stigmatised communities with these imperfect systems, and possibilities for data justice.

"If all the information is there, such as in #MyHealthRecord ..."
I'd be very surprised.
As it tells you when you log on, there will be no history.
It was designed to be, and is, at best a summary system.
Do have a look, it's probably empty
When it comes to early diagnosis, having access to information as soon as it's available is crucial. As Dr Lawrie Bott notes, "If all the information is there, such as in #MyHealthRecord, you're going to get a better result". See what's in your record: https://t.co/p3qoqc3ZFv
@VictorDominello
Maybe you should read the small print.
#myhealthrecord is a summary system. It was never designed to be a complete record and cannot and should not be used as such.
I completely support and applaud the Strengthening Medicare Taskforce - and it’s particular focus on uptake of My Health Record 🙏

I don't think you guys have any idea of what little data can be in #myHealthRecord
Making clinical decisions on incomplete health data is dangerous in the extreme.
I hope your insurance is up to date.
“My Health Record gives the user the ability to be able to develop a picture about a client or consumer so that they can then make clinical decisions about the resident’s care."

Fascinating discussion on #MyHealthRecord@abcmelbourne with @LaTrioli on communication breakdown between hospitals & GPs lets down patients and clinicians, off the back of this article. Pinging @DT4Health@wendywchapman https://t.co/629PbLujZJ
@MeganPrictor
As #myhealthrecord tells you when you log on, there is no history in it.
What they don't tell you is you cannot add any history. The best is to type in a Personal Health Summary but there's no room for details.
@davidmore
Looks like a big bang update to #myhealthrecord coming up.
What could go wrong?
I wonder if they have a plan B or will it be up to over worked and over stressed GPs to struggle to cope?
There Seems To Be A Lot Of Change Happening To The GP Digital Health Infrastructure. It Might Not Go Well! https://t.co/Yt05MaZzo6 #myHR#myHealthRecord#ehealth
Why is Victoria creating its own Health Information Exchange?

This is damning criticism of Australia's #myhealthrecord
After nine years in operation and over $2billion wasted, Victoria is starting again.
@urbizinhealth Are you aware that there is no history in your #myhealthrecord
It is a myth that it is a health record. At best it has a very short summary, but only if you get your GP to upload it and keep it current.
@BonneyCorbin@LaurenceBrown
I changed GP and got a CD with my and my wife's complete record for $25.
It is impossible for me or anyone else to upload any of that info into #myhealthrecord
It is not designed to hold details. It's a summary only.
@LaurenceBrown MyHealthRecord is not for everyone.… Though I do have it, for exactly this reason (to prevent fatigue constantly regurgitating my history). In this instance I asked if it had been kept up to date. They said if I paid the fee they would check/update the records.

But they have avoided even doing a report on #myHealthRecord
After 10 years there's little to show for the effort
@emilyscasey#myHealthRecord is only the tip of the iceberg that is Australia's Digital Health failure
