A quick explainer on #FSH levels - we don’t routinely follow the levels/ numbers because FSH can fluctuate & be inaccurate
As clinicians we need to understand the importance of symptoms, the biological transition and follow the trend of the FSH to come to a conclusion of how to manage the patient
I rarely do a FSH - UNLESS it’s going to change my clinical management OR I do it in women below 40yrs old to help me rule out conditions such as #primaryovarianinsufficiency (POI)
… and urine FSH testing is not standardised so also can be inaccurate
