Join us in congratulating Angela Betancur, Director of Accountability and School Improvement, on earning her Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Louisiana Monroe.
Driven by a passion for education, not just for curriculum and instruction, but for truly supporting students and understanding what helps them succeed, Dr. Betancur focused her research on the connection between student self-efficacy and academic growth. Through this work, she developed the Reciprocal Growth–Efficacy Model (RGEM) to better understand how confidence and achievement reinforce one another over time.
She shares that her biggest support has always been her three beautiful children, along with her ECISD team, peers, supervisors, and mentors who encouraged her every step of the way.
We are proud to celebrate Dr. Betancur’s incredible accomplishment and her continued commitment to learning and growth for all students. 💙📚
