@ryanburge Because the churches that hired them were already smaller to begin with. Small churches pay less and are more likely to fire a female pastor/priest. Even in the so-called egalitarian Episcopal Church, the Cush nova mostly go to men with a few exceptions.

@ryanburge I was raised SBC, now Episcopalian. In my experience, Episcopalians are the MOST educated and the LEAST biblically literate.
So degrees…yes. But better educated? Well….yes and no.
