Zary has to be given a chance to prove he's capable here. Its also a chance to raise his stock which would benefit the team if they did decide to move on from him

@evil_Jdubs I think I swap the 4th for a 3rd before having to add Zary. I understand the thought of swapping them regardless of the sweeteners.
If you could move Frost and bring in Wright without moving Zary you give yourself a chance to give Zary a bigger role and consistent opportunity...

@AdamZHerman I think that regardless of the Ducks situation now, a lot of weight is carried on the next few decisions regarding their contracts. At this story's base, the Ducks locked up a great player for 5 years.

It won't replace what we had with @Sportsnet960 but we can do our best to cover as much news as possible in its absence.

@zzzapinyourarea I think he's a player. Consistent linemates that aren't on the 4th line and more PP time could give him an increase in production.
Obviously nobody is sure how his past injuries are going to affect him moving forward, but it gives the #Flames full transparency before moving him.

I understand that there have been some interest in Shane Wright from the #Flames fanbase which is understandable. A lot of mock trades I've seen involve Zary. While they both had similar numbers last year, Wright had more PPP and his +/- was much better. That being said......

I think if Zary is given consistent line-mates and time on the Powerplay we could see more production. Adding Wright would be interesting regardless, but I would be giving Zary a lengthy opportunity first before using him in a trade to swap players.

I have to imagine they are pretty pissed they re-upped with Rogers/SN just to have radio coverage axed within less than 3 months and no notice
