My new lab in CEE @cwru is recruiting! Our projects relate to engineering beneficial microbiomes and are a mix of wet lab and computational work. Coding/microbiology experience is helpful, but not needed. Reach out for more info on projects or check out: https://t.co/wYyBxAOrtv
We are PUMPED! Announcing Indoor Air 2024 will take place in beautiful Honolulu, HI! 🌴🌊🍍 Will I see you there? Plz retweet! https://t.co/dOsQgSpL1D #IndoorAir2024@ISIAQ Follow @IndoorAir2024 for updates.
#NewFacultySpotlight: Bridget Hegarty, assistant professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering, joins @cwru with degrees from @Cornell and @Yale, and a vision to do research, diversify engineering, and influence the direction of engineering education. https://t.co/hDXsKrwfmQ
A bit belated, but here's to making it "Twitter official" that I've started as an assistant professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering at @cwru! Excited to grow my lab and grateful to my amazing mentors as I begin this next journey. @CaseEngineer
A very important & brave conversation on grad student mental health on campus by @UM_CEE colleague @AuthorAEJeffers Mental health issues are common, there are strategies & resources to support students, & we need to advocate for change. Thanks for initiating this discussion
If you are in CEE at UM or graduated from our department, we hope you will sign on! The letter is here https://t.co/LbXuQhVsH4 and the petition is here: https://t.co/7ztAIhe9vC
It is past time for bold action in academia to make our departments live up to existing DEI promises to BIPOC students. The initial response to our letter makes me hopeful for realizing these urgent changes. It will take hard work, but the passion of others here inspires me.
Excited to share our new preprint! Together with @nicolecrockey@KathrynLangenf4@GreatLakesKate @waterwiggi + more, we show that humidity is critical for heat inactivation of viruses on masks and that depositing viruses in media may overestimate inactivation.
Thank you to all of the @SpinWearables backers! We wouldn't to be this point without your generosity. Times are tough right now, but if you can, consider backing our campaign to help get us reach our goal! https://t.co/oANjYjah2U
Want to try your hand at programming the SpinWheel through your browser? We've developed a simulation of the SpinWheel that will enhance our lessons with the device by simplifying testing the code. No SpinWheel necessary to try it out now!
50 years ago, a generation of students @umich looked around at a poisoned country and decided enough was enough. That feeling became The Teach-In on the Environment—an event that crystalized public consensus that something had to be done. #EarthDay50 https://t.co/Qiwofx5YXr
Super excited that Yale SWE's outreach was featured in this recent SWE All Together blog post! Creativity is essential to problem solving and innovation, whether for art or engineering.
Join me for our first ever InnovateCT Live Show with the team from Spinwheel.
This great team from Yale has built an awesome learning toy for students that helps you learn to code.
This Tuesday at 8PM EST we will be live on YouTube to hear their story.
