In 1986, artist Tyree Guyton began transforming his Detroit neighborhood with found objects, turning derelict houses into works of art.
The @heidelbergproj has since become an internationally-recognized outdoor art environment and a symbol of hope for the @cityofdetroit.
We are looking for a gently used trailer with a hitch for donation! Our Permaculture program is kicking into full gear and a trailer would really help us get things beautified more efficiently. Please contact us: [email protected] to help us out!

It’s hard to capture this place in photos. Odd and incredible and emotional. 🖤
Thank you for the conversation, Tyree, and for your vision and art.

Today I finally got to see the @heidelbergproj I’ve been a fan of Tyree Guyton and his work ever since I found a piece of his art on the show. Tyree’s vision has made a difference not only in his community but communities around the world.
