It's vital that health information is clear and easy to understand. "Public health research states that lack of substance and vagueness of health communication may be linked to feelings of mistrust towards the source of messages (Mahoney & Tang, 2017)." #snhusmm#socialmedia
I feel folks don't ask this question enough before creating content:
What level of depth are you going for?
This could be taken to mean: Am I writing for a beginner or a pro?
It could also mean: How comprehensive is the content going to be?
But when I plan out content for the long haul and when that plan includes multiple assets from blog posts to podcast episodes to newsletters, etc - It means something else entirely.
What I’m really asking is - which piece is going to serve as the basis of the other pieces of content? (Similar to a pillar page but in this context that is far too linear).
Is the blog post going to be the foundational look at the topic and the podcast will go deeper into a subtopic while the newsletter is going to spin it and extend it differently?
A little peak into how I think about this:
Often, I may want to not do this on an asset-by-asset basis but define each asset. For example, my blog will be where I run with the more comprehensive look at the topic while my podcast will dive into a specific aspect while my newsletter will turn the whole thing on its head and offer a different perspective for a slightly different audience.
In this way, I can set up stable branding for each asset and figure in audience extension at the same time.

Short form content informs long form content.
There isn't "social media" and "marketing" any more.
Social media is marketing.
And you can either hire people who understand this or get lapped by your competitors who do.
The only thing that matter is the feedback loop.
