@geerothvoss@ItsEmilyKaty Maybe the way there needs to be so many Barbies to accomplish everything she thinks of, present her different facets and complex identity, and allow her to keep herself company is just proof that Barbie's been autistic all along.
@JocastaMoney I remember an article in one of the 90s teen mags, More maybe, calling us Generation Y and riffing on the idea that we questioed everything and the point of it all, i.e. "why?"
I think the shift circa 2010 wasn't anticipated; younger millennials were so unexpectedly different.
@BRATTYBARBl The Alfie story I want to see is Tommy the Invisible reporting him for serving expired food, resulting in 2 years' prison and his complete ostracism.
I don't understand how Alfie is presented as a cheeky chappy.
@pottypilgrim@Alexarmstrong I wondered if there had been an altercation that Digwa had escalated to murder, but if you read the judge's sentencing remarks it includes that there was video on HN's phone and that when Digwa&bro arrested they conspired to lie. VD said any camera footage would incriminate him.
@HiddenYorkshire As someone who was watching at the time, well not "someone" - a wordy creative 20 year old woman who thought Jess was fantastic, I confess the confusion for me started when she changed her name (no shade, I took hub's name too). Existence of Julia Stephenson added to uncertainty.
@HiddenYorkshire I always found BVs inherently racist as the inference is that while not everyone on earth believes in tolerance, respect and rule of the law, we Brits certainly do.
Interestingly, Blair's version of "British Values" differs from what ended up in schools under Cameron and Clegg.
@brightonsnapper As GG said: "the early summer sun, the cool Whitsun wind off the sea, the holiday crowd. They came in by train from Victoria every five minutes, rocked down Queen’s Road on the tops of the little local trams, stepped off in bewildered multitudes into fresh and glittering air".
@EtanSmallman Do we know if the RP accent is her natural one or if, like so many people, it's the one she's using when speaking to a group/in a work-related setting?
@Omages887 Another family Alfie completely destroyed.
Keep watching your 2014 episodes (I got to Jan 2015 this week) and tell me Alfie shouldn't be viewed as the nastiest little **** ever.
@moprias@memenders_ Honey put the ladder up, but didn't secure it. Bea noticed the ladder wasn't secure, but the scene ends before we know if left it like that or fixed it. Either way, the ladder was unsafe before Bea saw it.
@CitizenUddin@EalingCouncil I often drive a relative who has a Blue Badge to appointments. We park as close as possible, display the badge, go to reception and then I come back alone to move the car. I worry about being confronted like this, even though what I'm actually doing is vacating a priority space.
@Miss_Snuffy Only if said students value a Higher Education as a superficial task whose purpose is to spew out a certificate.
Students who value learning, philosophical and intellectual development, their own academic endeavour and the integrity of their work won't conclude that at all.
