@GFI_green Congratulations to all involved in this awesome and much needed report! There is no denying what an urgent biodiversity emergency it is to tackle Nature Loss for the UK in all areas of society. We must act now, at scale, and act brave! We need radical collaboration to tackle ๐ช
@sophieinspace@LesEnfantsTerr@LeedsPlayhouse@OxfordPlayhouse P.s. 2 more of your books are in 'the Christmas ๐ wardrobe'. The daughter asked to get them, but I already had. I think the new snow book will be a birthday treat.
I love them as much as she does. It's created a magical family time. Thank you ๐
@PackedLunchC4 love the show, but please do not encourage people to take wild plants from woodlands. The UK has some of the most impoverished biodiversity in the world - it is irresponsible to encourage ripping out wild plants on TV. Leave wild flowers for wild animals please ๐
@AECOM As COP15 soon draws to a close, we will find out if the ambitions for this COP lived up to the great expectations and need. Then, the next phase of work begins with individual governments interpreting the agreements into policy, legislation, and guidance; and business responding.
As society confronts climate change, it must also contend with biodiversity loss. #COP15 is aiming to deliver solutionsโincluding a global framework for safeguarding ecosystems.
Hereโs how that framework can help businesses act on biodiversity.
Today we had the Business and Biodiversity Forum presentation at #COP15

@Mark_A_Goddard@UFZ_de Ah, I remember the first URBIO conference we attended in 2010 - also brilliant. I hope all is well Mark and glad to hear URBIO is still going strong. I'd love to attend again myself :)
@joriggall@BBC_Cop15@COP15_News@DefraGovUK@Love_plants @PlantlifeInt Wishing you a brilliant and productive experience. I'll be praying for some clear, strong agreements and SMART goals for our leaders to sign up to. It should be an excellent networking opportunity too๐ค๐- so envious ๐. Hopefully next time.
I was really encouraged and impressed today to hear Lord Benyon, the UK Environment Minister, discuss #COP15 plans for business & biodiversity, during our #UKBBF and #IEMA@BBC_Cop15@COP15_News . So grateful for the opportunity to attend and speak directly with him @DefraGovUK
@joriggall@BBC_Cop15@COP15_News@DefraGovUK@Love_plants @PlantlifeInt Thanks, I'll check out the page๐ There will indeed be UKBBF folks at COP15. Look out for Mark Johnson (our chair) and he can also put you in touch with others. Tom Butterworth will also be launching the nature positive pledge there (for business). I'm gutted I'll not be there ๐ข
