So proud of the creativity and perseverance shown by the students who entered our first STEAM challange of the year! They created a device to help solve the problem of the Pacific Garbage Patch! 👩🏻‍🔬 🗺👨🏽‍🔬

🚧Construction🚧is underway with a new design challenge using @SpheroEdu robots. From kinder using basic materials to 5th with more complicated designs, students are creating a device strong enough to move trash on land yet still lightweight for @Sphero to move. @Princeton_OCPS

Welcome to the Bubble Gum Factory! Students have been investigating bubble gum in STEAM this week from using our senses in kindergarten to changing variables to see it’s impact on the mass in 5th grade. It’s gross at times, but super fun! 🍬🍬🍬

Luckily I found a red ‘trash can’ to help me carry more along my morning walk. People pick up your cigarette butts! It’s one of the largest items found because most people don’t consider it as litter..🏝 Bringing the feathers back to the STEAM Lab in the fall. ❤️

Earlier in the year I realized two of my students dance at the same studio I trained competitively at for 10+years, @colbydance. Tonight I went to their recitals and it was so great to see them doing same thing I did for so many years.. #relationships @Princeton_OCPS

This week 5th grade became bears & went hunting in the “forest”. Ss participated in a simulation to experience how limiting factors: population size, food source, injuries, & invasive species influenced their ability to survive. Unfortunately few made it..🌲🐻🌲@Princeton_OCPS
