How many hours have we sat silently in conferences or lecture rooms listening to expert speakers? Education research suggests that this is less likely to create deep learning than the opportunity to talk about it with others. Studies show that students who are "chatty" but not deeply engaged learn more than those who are mentally engaged but silent. @sarajcox My first bike was a Raleigh burner which I loved to death! I learnt to ride my big girl bike in my parent’s garden by riding round and round in circles until I got the hang of it (plus the grass was a soft landing when I fell off!) Good times! 🚲

Thoughts of an IM resident on an off service EM block:

1) Holy wow EM providers are seeing a stunning volume of patients. I have no idea how they juggle so many patients at such variable stages in their workups and in acuity. It makes my head spin to try and keep up.
