And so my uni journey ends with my MA (English). Grateful for my family (who have stuck with me through everything), proud of myself (odds were not in my favour of me getting here), and thankful to everyone whose books got me here! (Whether studied or read for fun) #ouresults
@MotorpointDiff Hi, just wanted to pass on my praise for the box office staff I just spoke to regarding lost tickets for a concert- have had a nightmare dealing with Ticketmaster, but she sorted the problem in 2 minutes, and was incredibly polite and friendly! Huge thanks!
@TicketmasterCS Hi, I need help with replacing tickets that were lost in a house move (concert is next Monday). Can't find any way of contacting anyone about this on the website? Just keeps taking me round in a circle!
@TicketmasterCS Hi, I need help requesting replacement tickets, but can't find a phone number, dedicated CS email, and there's no option for this on the website?
Went to shop, forgot my hat. Also forgot I have a LOT of metal in my ears, which froze them from inside out. I do like winter, but its side effects, less so...
Our garden this morning. Beautiful, isn't it? Not really looking forward to a 2-hour walk to work, though. Or around 8am, when I stamp on my phone because if the 'I can't get in today' calls. Am looking forward to the 1st coffee when I get in, though! ๐
Officially freaked out now. No more ghost stories on overnight shifts! A granny-style shopping trolley somehow appeared at the end of a corridor I have been facing all night, and nothing triggered the door alarms or auto lights. And no one here owns one of these things! #creepy
After a series of clumsy events, latest of which is clonking the back of my head on a dado rail, I can honestly say I'm less worried about the possible side effects of tomorrow's covid jab than I am about my ability to keep myself alive long enough to have the damn thing!
Not doing 'Happy New Years', cos last time didn't end so well! But I'm raising a glass tonight for my staff teams, who have been absolute heroes through Covid (Social Care). We've got through the impossible so far, and everyone is still (mostly) smiling! Legends, all of them!
Haven't managed to rewatch a single Ghost Story for Christmas this year (no days off, bloody covid! ๐), so all cwtched up with a classic instead. Hopefully stay awake longer than 3 pages... #tradition
Today's good thing: having one of the guys take 1 look at my exhausted and scary 'I just woke up' face, giving me a MASSIVE smile, and telling me 'Happy now!' And these are the times I remember how lucky I am to do my job!
Got woken up at 4.30, by a manic medley of I Believe in Father Christmas and Paradise by the Dashboard Light. At a volume that made my ears bleed. Christmas is shit, but the guys are genuinely melting me today! (I've had 6 coffees made as an apology, so just going with it!)
Drink a whole bottle of wine in about 2 hours, then remembered I have an advent calendar I haven't touched (and apparently a spare one?) Cwtched in bed with a good book, hopefully no waking up before 4am #sleepexperiment
Work, during the first lockdown, very nearly broke my brain. Now we're at no.3, I'm currently trying to add this as a signature on my work email to save time apologising for absolutely everything.
So sad to hear of the death of John Le Carrรฉ. Just the finest, wisest storyteller we had. What an extraordinary career. Thank you for a lifetime of tales.
I have the best job ever. I honestly love it. But maskface and dermatillomania are NOT a good mix. Just gonna get a novelty headband and answer to 'Rudolph' until the new year...
@RoyalMailHelp Nope. If I click the link for the form, it takes me round on a loop to make me click the form again. This has been 4 days now, and i can't even get the form to make a complaint/claim?
@RoyalMailHelp Item delivered 17.15, delivery person broke the inside flap of my letterbox by shoving a parcel through it. Spent 35 mins on hold to be cut off. Damage form unavailable for download from website. No email address available. Advice appreciated.
