@OctopusEnergy when I'm logged in and click on "View meter reading history", is there any way it can actually do what it says? i.e. show me the actual numerical values returned from the meter. It only seems to show the half-hourly consumption, which isn't the same thing.
@theiaincameron Change rough to tough and you have the quadruplet adding one letter each time (tough, though, through, thorough) all with different pronunciations.
@MoneySavingExp It couldn't happen. The hotel wouldn't have let them check out without settling the bar bill. They would have had to lodge a credit card.
@edwinhayward The existence of a "stop" button in a lift, which stops the lift between floors so the protagonists can have a fight, conversation or whatever.
@hzeffman@BBCNews In the "normal" rules, if you cease to become the owner of the first property within 3 years of buying the second one, you can claim a refund of the additional stamp duty. Presumably then, she could reclaim the additional stamp duty when her son turns 18 in less than a year?
@TheCinesthetic A STOP button in a lift. Used as a plot device to allow a fight/conversation/sex act between floors. Why on earth would such a thing exist in real life?
@POferries "based on demand and availability". For reference it's a return leg Rotterdam to Hull on Tuesday 15th July 2025, standard fare for 2 adults, 1 small dog travelling by small motorhome - ยฃ268.
@POferries should all your ferry prices be reduced in your Early Bookers offer? I'm looking at Hull/Rotterdam in June/July and some of your Standard prices aren't changed from a quote I got before the offer was active.
@POferries Thanks for the reply. I've been waiting for a callback for days, hence why I'm on here. One of the prices for our trip is EXACTLY the same as it was before the offer, I think it's unlikely that it was reduced by 20% then suspiciously increased back to the same amount (contd.)
