@GergelyOrosz Holy moly... he contacted me on LI (I have organized a conf for several years and I have been a speaker at multiple confs). I remember looking at the website. And I just got the gut feeling that something is off. Maybe it was the really masculine lineup... so glad I passed.
Realized that I've become quite comfortable with the discomfort of having quirks and inconsistencies in a product under construction. I care about resolving them AND I care about creating value for the client here and now.
@testertested@unitartu@ttorres Unfortunately, I don't have any. I just used a marker to illustrate everything on a whiteboard and work through the examples. Alternatively, you can read "Continuous Discovery Habits" by @ttorres I love this book, and approach.
What kind of online spaces&communities would you recommend to a curious new tester? I know MoT, obviously, but what else is out there right now? #testing
It's relatively easy to deliver a good&useful training. It's a different matter to drive impact afterwards. I'm really happy I negotiated an extended engagement for this consulting project because IT. IS. HARD to go back and NOT behave like you used to.
@ttorres but one cannot follow the example of a horrible "socialist" country like Finland who has demonstrated in practice that "housing first" works, add continuity and you will have effectively eradicated homelessness. Of course, tents aren't feasible in -30C so there's that.
@testertested I used to but. But back in the day when I started, there weren't whiteboards like this. I live inside Miro anyway and it was really great for workshopping and sharing things.
Completely ditched the slides and went fully digital whiteboard for the workshop because... it's somewhat more functional than paper&sticky notes + manages certain risks with ppl not being able to attend in person.
@PegoEmpresa @aClassicLiberal@Roger_Moorhouse@FrHaJo He's on an indefinite leave from the asylum he belongs to. But whatever - I don't think we agree on things.
Testing workshop prep - something old, something new, something custom, something... special sauce :D Spending some time in a PM role has definitely helped me reframe how I approach/teach testing now vs 8 years ago. And I think it's for the better...
