Russian border guards demanded the removal of this poster in Narva, Estonia which faces the spot where a concert will be held across the river in Ivangorod, Russia tonight.
The Estonian police explained that the poster doesn’t break any Estonian laws. 👍
@HelenaJ_M 1: heuristic gut feeling "smt doesn't feel right" (experience from 50+ different projects)
2: Analyze the gut feeling because I have to explain and defend it to someone soon. (continue or stop)
3: validate. (change my mind or accept)
PS! I've been right more times than wrong
Remember, testers and programmers, fundamental asymmetries in testing: we can’t verify that the product DOES work; only that it DID work. We can’t verify that it WILL work; only that it CAN work. We can’t verify that there are no problems; only that we’re not aware of problems.
@SiimSutrop@HelenaJ_M Rule11: When the job is done, walk away. Even I've got personally too involved to have specific bug fixed due to being especially proud of it
@SiimSutrop@HelenaJ_M Elaboration - sometimes it would be wise to let go. Otherwise you do not know when to let go. I've seen the "personal involvement" too much
@SiimSutrop@HelenaJ_M my 2 cents - growing up <-> how product is built through different stages ; letting go <-> not to get too personally involved.
