#MyJesusStory@HelenaTalaso_ , as God considers those He should bless even more, may He bless you tenfold! Happy birthday, my dear friend! You truly have a heart of gold. Thank you for the incredible work you continue to do in Marsabit, restoring hope and dignity to women suffering from fistula. May the Lord strengthen you and multiply the impact of your labour of love. Happy birthday once again, dear friend!
We had a beautiful time at Malka Lakolle, Marsabit County as we marked this important day by spreading awareness about fistula.
Here's to shaping a future without Fistula in Marsabit County.
Happy International Day to End Obstetric Fistula!
This day is commemorated to raise awareness about FISTULA, the most devastating childbirth injury that leaves women facing incontinence, social isolation and emotional distress.
...as they underwent their reconstructive surgeries.
It wasn't just about a medical procedure,it was a celebration of courage, a symbol of new beginnings, and a reminder that no one should walk this journey alone.
Women living with obstetric fistula often endure years of physical pain, social isolation, and emotional trauma.
The journey to healing is not just about surgery, it's a deeply personal process of reclaiming dignity, confidence, and hope.
That’s why holistic support is essential at every step. From counseling and nutrition to community reintegration and long-term follow-up care.
This was one of those powerful moments. We gathered in the surgery room, cheering on these brave women...
Partnerships are essential to the success of our mission to END FISTULA and Sensitize on safe Motherhood in Marsabit County.
Achieving this goal requires collective effort and collaboration, as it is a challenge that cannot be tackled alone.
Today, we want to express our deep gratitude to the Partners who have stood with us in our journey.
Their unwavering support has been instrumental not only in addressing the medical needs of women suffering from fistula but also in creating a supportive environment for mothers.
Happy International Day of the Girl Child 2024.
The theme this year is “Girls' Vision for the Future” which is a call for urgent action and persistent hope, driven by the power of girls' voices and vision for the future.
It's #DayOfTheGirl & here are some FACTS:
119.3 million girls are out of school😔
9 million girls will be married as child brides by 2030😞
Despite these challenges, girls continue to challenge the status quo.
See how these adolescent girls are doing it: https://t.co/NO4jquj7Ij
