Well done to the teams at Blossom Lodge, Smokey Joe's, Panku and Hels' Kitchen for achieving ratings of 5 following their recent food hygiene inspections! ⭐️
🩺 Why is it so difficult to see a GP now? ❓
1: We’ve lost the equivalent of 2,212 full time (60+ hrs a wk) GPs since 2015. 📉 🧑⚕️
Assume each GP has a list of 1800 pts (often an underestimate) that’s a whisker below 4 million patients without access to a GP. ⚠️🥼

There is not a single word here that I disagree with @mgtmccartney is, as usual, absolutely spot on 👌
GPs “absorbing the risk that clinical uncertainty presents, and preventing the rest of the system from being overwhelmed.” #GP#NHS75 @FT https://t.co/Ly0DpG5JBi
@99Stickling The vested interest he's not taking on is Private Healthcare
They need GP's out of the way so anxious patients can be ripped off by self-referring for unnecessary investigations and treatment.
GPs are the REASON for NHS efficiency, get rid of them at your peril @wesstreeting
Pretty disappointed to see this from Labours shadow health secretary. Total lack of understanding of what GPS do. Nick breaks it down perfectly here. Who do I vote for now?!?
Words can't adequately express how ignorant you would have to be about the "gatekeeper" role in the NHS to suggest allowing self-referral to hospital, @wesstreeting. https://t.co/RBMXE4IEYG 1/n
The media is putting more focus on #NHSCrisis
You see reports from wards, hospitals, Emergency Departments, Ambulances of the immense pressures faced by my colleagues in secondary care
But what does this crisis look like in #primarycare?
A thread 🧵...
The NHS is in crisis.
Patients are unsafe.
Our members are saying loud and clear: enough is enough.
For the first time in the RCN’s history, our members have mandated strike action throughout the UK.

All political parties need to stop making pointless national GP access announcements. They are not deliverable. Focus on retention of staff + recruitment of a wider set of roles first
@Hermesparcels delayed my delivery for days until I was on holiday, now I’m back I made sure I was home yet I’m told they tried to deliver 1 hour ago. Photo of my door yet no knock or ring. No way to raise an issue via the website. Desperately terrible service.
