I know the MAJOR complaint is commuter and tourist helicopter. But I will say that much if the police utilization of their helicopters could be done by a less invasive, less expensive, less noisy, less polluting drone. Is this needed for Pride?
@Adrian_Benepe @ABC7NY@StoptheChopNYNJ @crystalrhudson @ReynosoBrooklyn@JustinBrannan The news do this all the time. The police too. When necessary? Fine. But trust me, 99% if the time a drone could do what they do, for far less money, less danger, and obviously more quietly.
Want to know how bad FLYNYON was today? I left my apartment. I didn’t WANT to leave my apartment but they were low, loud, fast and then hovering. N207MH is particularly obnoxious. I can literally tell it’s him because of how he turns - it echos and bounces off the buildings.
He’s back..nonstop. I k is there is activity on the ground. Protests. But I seriously ask, what can this helicopter do that a drone can’t do more easily, closer, less polluting, more quietly and less expensively? #HelicopterHell
If noise pollution from transportation causes 5% of New Jersey heart attacks, I cannot imagine the rate in NYC.
Step 1: Let’s pass our bill with @DickGottfried curbing non-essential chopper use in NYC and #StopTheChop!
@StoptheChopNYNJ
Why are the police once again seemingly going for joy rides at 3:30 AM. 4 loops over Greenpoint , Queens.. 4 loops over Seaport, Manhattan. They are nowhere near each other. If it’s some kind of surveillance- #getadrone turn your speaker all the way up / that’s how loud
THREE HOURS OF THIS. Yes, there was a crash. But what are you doing that a drone can’t do better, more safely and more quietly? #HelicopterHell#GetADrone
