@MiddleEastEye@mayanoraa The illusion of freedom is as fake as everything else in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Even the fresh water is fake (desalinated). We are seeing so many former UAE residents arriving now March 2026 in Greece—many staring at forests and rivers with looks of amazement. ♥️
I visited this area and the Turks continue to occupy houses, hotels and even the university built by Greeks. The imported Turk peasants shelter sheep in now-derelict churches. In the absence of an authentic culture, one is forced to take from others. Cultural borrowing is a sign of respect, and Turk denigration of Hellenic culture is quite the opposite.
@MonitorX99800 And, the fearless leader of the country is so proud emergency responders arrived within 30 minutes! Comparable to the unprecedented efficiency and grace with which the lifeboats operated on the Titanic.
@thewolvenhour Yes 👏 real nature, real Greece. Dubai does offer artificial everything, including freedom to post social content, for those who crave a plastic life.
@TheRealSantino UAE MofState says today that ban on social posting of such attacks is for your own protection. Haha the hypocrisy should be illegal. The dream of Dubai is as artificial as the illusion of freedom in this Disneyland country.
@RussCan91 Per UAE MoState ban on social media posting of military attacks is for your own protection. The illusion of freedom in UAE is as artificial as the country’s landscape.
@GreekPictures Sikinos offers a soul-restoring refuge from Ios party scene. Pro tip: hiking Chora to the Episkopi monastery (note in summer, early morning to avoid heat). Want to relocate to Sikinos? Restoration visas available for historic buildings. https://t.co/7KE4frKldy
@greece_heritage So … if the Cretians move, where do they go? Or as we expect they express so much of all these cultures - a crossroads - must visit ♥️
