Hey @StakeEddie and @kick — I understand that fast-tracking creators with large followings on other platforms is standard practice at Kick. But when those same creators have been demonetized elsewhere, perhaps it’s time to pump the brakes and conduct some due diligence.
A large following doesn’t automatically make someone an asset to your platform. At some point, you have to ask whether these are really the people you want representing your brand.
As journalists break down on live television over the elementary school shooting in Bend, Oregon, I’m reminded of Sandy Hook.
I’m from Connecticut and was living there when Sandy Hook happened. I remember the heartbreak, the disbelief, and the overwhelming grief that consumed our state.
As so many of us are grieving right now, struggling to comprehend how something this horrific could happen, I want you to hold on to that feeling for a moment. The heartbreak. The anger. The unimaginable pain of parents who will never hold their children again.
Now imagine someone looking at that suffering and seeing an opportunity for attention.
Just days after 20 children were murdered at Sandy Hook, Jonathan Lee Riches traveled to Newtown, falsely impersonated shooter Adam Lanza’s uncle, fed reporters bogus claims, and posted videos of his trip for views and clicks.
Think about that for a moment. While families were mourning their children and an entire nation was grieving, this man chose to insert himself into their tragedy through deception.
So when you dismiss my criticism as “Nerdy’s longstanding beef,” you’re fundamentally missing the point.
It’s not beef. It’s absolute fucking disgust for a human being who could exploit the tragedy of murdered children and then turn around years later and portray himself as an advocate for missing children.
You don’t get to erase your history without acknowledging what you did, taking accountability, and offering a genuine apology, simply because you’ve found a new audience willing to overlook it, or one that never knew about it in the first place.
Good Lord. This is awful.
New: Three children and one adult were killed in a shooting at an elementary school in Bend, Oregon, on Thursday, according to preliminary information from a law enforcement source.

Mel - you said you don’t care who unsubs. Cool because I just unsubbed. I wish had more followers to share this with.
Last night you showed the version of yourself you keep off your channel. You dropped the N-word like it was nothing which is offensive and disgusting. You attacked creators who actually have real followings and give a shit about their communities. It was quite clear that you don’t care about your subs. The way you interact with people is gross. Who do you think you are??
Wow! Breaking News - You had Magnolia’s story and sat on it. It is now obvious you skated around it because you were scared of JLR. WB and Nerdy actually stood up. They have more spine than you ever will.
JLR is a grifter who uses people for content. All he cares about is money - just like you. He has a long history of shitting on victims and their families. You either are pretending not to know this or you’re fine with it. Either way you’re an egotistical self-absorbed moron.
You took shots at WB for serving time. People make amends. People get second chances. Attacking him and dragging his wife into it was a weak low move. Also Nerdy doesn’t need your advice about showing his face. But after last night maybe you should hide yours.
Nerdy, Eva, WB and Noelle have a loyal community because they don’t pretend to be above everyone the way you do. You really showed everyone last night that you don’t care about your community. How many times did you say I don’t care who unsubs? How many times did you say you didn’t care about the people in the chat?
You’re an angry guy who defends abusers and hides when it matters. You had no receipts and still ran your mouth. For someone who loves tearing down other people’s content go back to flexing in front of the camera and showing everyone what a loser looks like. Pump up those muscles loser.

A Fox River Grove mother is pleading for help finding her 24-year-old daughter, Alyssa M. Smith, who vanished after traveling to Chicago with her boyfriend — who reportedly returned home without her.
Alyssa, of Palatine, has been missing since September 27.
Family members say she was last seen on Chicago’s West Side, around the West Garfield Park area. Police have also received reports that she may have been spotted near Grant Park and around Cicero Avenue and Roosevelt Road.
Her disappearance has fueled speculation online, with some social media users drawing comparisons to the Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie case.
Authorities have not indicated that Alyssa’s boyfriend is suspected of any crime.
Alyssa is 24 years old, approximately 5’5” and 135–140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
A family flyer says she may have a black eye. She has several piercings and numerous tattoos, including a Pennywise clown tattoo on her left shoulder.
She was believed to be wearing a gray hoodie, light khaki-colored pants or sweatpants, and white Adidas shoes.
Her mother, Rebecca Smith, is asking the public to share Alyssa’s information and help bring her home.
