One big idea: the Indian government could mandate an ONDC-style platform for messaging, let’s call it ONM (Open Network for Messaging). Any app wishing to offer messaging in India would be required to plug into ONM.

This would shift messaging from being a closed product to an open protocol, similar to email.

Developers could instantly build products on top of ONM and access the network from day one.

Messaging would no longer be a winner-takes-all market. Most importantly, India could nurture not just one, but 5–6 strong local winners 🇮🇳
