I see a lot of men posting how no woman deserves this and I think that’s sad. Most restaurants would do this for free, at least back then when I did it, it came as a free service. How cheap can you be as a man to even lack the empathy to do something nice and basic for that girl you claim to like?
At a family dinner, my uncle said women were "too weak" for physically demanding jobs. My grandma looked at him and said, "I gave birth without anesthesia. You called an ambulance because of kidney stones." The table went completely silent.
Y’all get what this is, right? Just by touching you with these gloves, cops can literally force your body to involuntarily spasm in a way that looks enough like “resisting arrest” on a bodycam video to justify beating your brains out & shooting you dead consequence-free
Today, I’m grateful that my heart still knows how to feel deeply. I’m grateful for the part of me that still lets people in, still cares, still loves, and still chooses softness in a world that would’ve understood if I chose armor instead. I’m grateful for the love I’m able to give. I’m grateful for the tenderness, patience, and effort. I’m grateful for the parts of myself I’m finding again, and ones I thought I lost somewhere along the way. And I’m grateful that there’s still so much life in me, so much left to feel, to give, and to become.
