House of the Dragon took one of George R.R. Martin’s most debated characters…
and answered the question fans were supposed to argue about forever.
That’s either brilliant adaptation.
Or a complete misunderstanding of Criston Cole.
A thread 🧵
@Magnus_El_Rojo Anakin has a fear of abandonment that a lot of people could identify with. As someone that suffur from it I personnally do and a lot of his actions, reactions and pattern of thinking make sense with this in mind.
@zweiwalker89607 There are good stories in the nuCanon. My main problem with the nuCanon is that the stories mostly feel like side stories. And most of the Comics are Mid. Not bad, just mid, which just killed my interest for digging into it. But I don't read SW novels anymore
The historical framework of The Wars of the Roses is a line that was broken, dividing the royal families and tje realm into war, and only being reuinited, thus repairing the land, by a wedding and the end of the Tyrant.
Either Martin will follow this framework, or play around it.
It's weird how the Game of Thrones people can't figure out how to move the story forward. GRRM just regimagines classic moments of English history:
HotD = The Anarchy
AKoSK = Ivanhoe
GoT = War of the Roses
Make a GoT Tudors. Do Sansa as Elizabeth. Or timeskip and have Sam Tarly's grandson be a Cromwell figure. Flip the Hundred Years' War and have Westerosi Joan of Arc. Keep going until you have a midwife riding a dragon to Fleabottom.

I'm so ASOIAF-pilled again... I'm rewatching GOT season 1, I'm rereading the books, I'm on the Wiki all day and discussing Targaryen lineage with my friends as if these were real events that actually happened.... we're so fucking back
