Here comes the deflection for the govt's shambolic handling of this crisis. It will be a war on teachers, scientists, the public sector, carers, low paid key workers who've kept the country running, public transport users and the homeless. Anyone to hide from their failings.
@DailyMailUK The PM is completely inept and totally unsuitable to lead us through this crisis. His lazy, incompetent leadership has meant we’ve got the 2nd highest death toll in the world. Many of these deaths could and should have been prevented if he’d acted. He should resign.
Scoop! Britain is the first country in world history to open up by pulling up the drawbridge! The sad reality behind this newspeak: less freedoms & opportunities for continental Europeans and British people alike. Everyone loses.
.@GregClarkMP chair of science committee tells @5_News government was too "fatalistic" in accepting limited capacity before abandoning community testing #COVID19

@globalhlthtwit There's so many questions that need answering and details we need to know now. We also need to have confidence in our leaders to ensure they’re making the right decision. Scrutiny, challenge, debate leads to better decision making and will prevent further mistakes.
My piece on why the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies advice and minutes must be published now to find where Britain got coronavirus wrong. https://t.co/9ky481QTb2
The new law will make it impossible for workers below a certain income level - particularly care workers - to get a UK work visa. With an existing shortage of 100K it’s time to say surely no Gov’t could be this stupid, it can only be deliberate sabotage https://t.co/cXRY5cHlYI
@DehennaDavison The government hasn't explained the detail. How much will each company have to contribute? If the state is only going to contribute say 40%, then it's actually a huge cut. How can businesses survive? It will lead to mass unemployment and have a lasting effect on the economy.

@MetroUK We should never accept this many people dying. The 2nd highest death toll in the world - with 3 extra weeks to prepare. It could have been prevented if Johnson had turned up for work, taken the threat seriously and acted quicker to protect us. He is totally unfit to lead. Resign.
@HelpCareHomes@Andrew_Adonis I won't be sending mine back until I know for sure that everyone is safe and nor do all the parents I'm in contact with so you can add me to your anecdotal evidence. xx
@Andrew_Adonis I can speak from my own experience and the parents who I know around me (anecdotal): nearly all parents want the schools to remain closed - or continue with current cover for key workers - as the science isn't clear about whether it safe or not.
