Today is the Homeless Census & our teams have been out in the field since 5am.
The point in time count is a count of sheltered & unsheltered people experiencing homelessness on a single night in January. The data is used when deciding how funds for homelessness are spent.
To foster safety and address homelessness, #ClarkCounty has added special (CARE) outreach teams of social workers on the Las #Vegas Strip.
They're partnering with @LVMPD to engage the homeless and those with mental health or substance abuse issues and connect them to services.
