Self employed from December 2018, filed 18/19 tax(on time) and still entitled to nothing. Allow recently self employed to submit their 19/20 tax return.

Why does the SEISS grant 5 only cover 3 months, while the equivalent furlough covers 5 months? 🤷‍♀️

@NatalyaCorn @MartinSLewis I would ring to make sure its not a scam but I had to do that, I uploaded passport and bank statements, seems off but they are actually using dropbox for newly self employed. Deffo ring them first to make sure its not fake email.

@MartinSLewis Hi @MartinSLewis thanks for this. Will the amount we get be based on average income over the 4 years like last time or will it be on average based on our income from our 19/20 tax return?

@NatalyaCorn @MartinSLewis I had to do this with SEISS 4 as I had only submitted my 19/20 tax return. It was genuine but I expect theres so many scams going around so be careful, maybe ring HMRC and check.

@where_is_tammy @HMRCgovuk @HMRCcustomers I spoke to someone at HMRC said i've been accepted and will get an email after 6th May, still waiting.. they said if I haven't heard anything still by next week to ring back. Such a joke considering the deadline is 3 weeks away!

@HMRCgovuk @HMRCcustomers I am still waiting to find out whether I am eligible for SEISS 4 grant, submitted all my information via dropbox, please can you let me know when I'll find out. Its been over 2 weeks now and over a year of no support.

Imagine being excluded from any previous support because it was only from March 2019 that more than 50% of my earnings came from self-employment yet now they have included all of my previous SE returns and so reduces my grant allowance by more than double #SEISS4
