One of the ways this cute little critter, the Gile's Planigale, is being helped is through the delivery of environmental water to wetlands and creeks. Planigales are listed as a threatened species. https://t.co/O4LpVRICb4

16 farm dams in west Gippsland got some extra attention yesterday from a bunch of farmers & locals taking #eDNA samples to detect wildlife. Dams can provide important support for biodiversity in agri landscapes #citizenscience @AusLandcare @landcarevic @WPCLNLandcare@CitSciOZ
The best news article I have ready about my itchy nose - loving the #datadriven journalism. 'Why you get hay fever (and what you can do about it)' https://t.co/PPPFy6gxzn via @theage@CraigDButt
Feeling a new found love for mangroves! Amazon mangroves store twice as much carbon per acre as region's famous rainforest. They also help protect against the impact of storms & are a biodiversity nursery. Unfortunately they are being cleared! https://t.co/AMwtAfExAS
Tim Flannery-what a legend. Heard him speak last night @MSSIMelb about his incredible conservation & reconciliation work in the Solomon Islands. An adventurous story! My eyes opened to the dramatic history/conflict, rich culture and unique wildlife of this archipelago.
Cane toads are using dams which provide water for cattle as stepping stones to expand their range into increasingly arid areas. If we cut off their access to water, we can keep them out of large areas of arid Australia and could stop toads from invading the Pilbara.
