Today, we have begun a 3 days training of Translating Science into Policy and Practice. This has been organized by the Regional AgriFoSe2030 from 17th, 18th, and 19th February 2026 @Guluvarsity. This is a collaborative initiative supported by Sida @Sida between the AgriFose2030 @AgriFoSe2030  Programme at Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and Gulu University (Uganda) and Kyambogo University (Uganda) to support young scientists.

The aim of a training is to bridge the gap between research and real-world decision-making. It focuses on helping scientists communicate evidence clearly and effectively to policymakers, practitioners, and other stakeholders. The workshop promotes evidence-based policy and practice by improving understanding of how research can inform decisions, addressing barriers to uptake, and encouraging collaboration across sectors.
