@RTENewsPaulC@FineGael@SimonHarrisTD@rtenews If they honestly think that a 2.5% VAT rate decrease will sort out the financial pressures in Restaurants, Cafés and Pubs, they're even more out of touch than we thought.

Thank God for Geolocation data on photos - it makes it ever more interesting to travel.
@Samtm023@Buseireann@TFIupdates For a country where the prevailing wind is from the south west, it would make sense to have protection from rain coming from that direction. This one only protects from straight down rain or when the wind is from the North.
@angiebeeb The attitude of most replies here towards Politicans indicates to me why so many TD's are retiring from Politics. She is in the lucky position that she can afford to financially. If Politics was all about money and power they'd all be running in the elections.
@REBELC0RK@corkcitycouncil "The driver’s insurance company will cover the cost of the repairs with officials hopeful of securing additional funding from the Department of Transport." The last line of the article! Not always the case, in more rural areas repairs are never carried out.
@jdubspear@eoinmauricedaly "It is true that a thick layer of fallen leaves will smother green lawns". So I blow the leaves under the shrubs. My lawn is full of Clover, Self heal and Dandelions. Buzzing with bees in summer, Goldfinches feasting on seeds and Blackbirds pulling worms for their young in season

@davidmcw Why are businesses paying significantly more for electricity than residential customers? My last bills with Bord Gais had unit costs including VAT for the house of 29.5 cent and my business 40 cent. I'm gone from them now, but there's still a differential.

@savebrideotters When someone already has their mind made up to do it another way its very easy to discount alternatives - especially common sense and cheaper options.
