Reading is everyone's responsibility! So pleased to see my evidence-informed guides being displayed in schools around the country...Whether that is to support transition periods, specific areas of SEN, pastoral, disciplinary, or whole-school! 🙏

Descriptive writing model to be used alongside criteria. Pupils must ensure their understanding of the skills and criteria then identify them in the model. This will help pupils to understand how to apply the criteria in their own work. Download 👉 https://t.co/2OpgrOMcdd

Our students & staff held fundraising events to support the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The target was to raise £5000- we did! The total so far is in excess of £5300! The non-uniform, bake sale, eating challenge & range of activities were a huge success. #ProudToBeBronte 💜💜💜
Mini Mark Schemes are back! Marking some Y10 English P2 Q5 responses. Quick marking but allows targets to be set from what they didn’t do or next band up. #markingdoesn’thavetorulemylife #feedbackforprogress
Some 'An Inspector Calls' revision resources. Qs on slides (answers in notes section) and printables for student books. I use these a lot and they seem to go down well. Forgive the Google Slide to PPT conversion glitches. https://t.co/UFBtkz477i
Here’s a scaffolded ‘A Christmas Carol’ intervention booklet for students who struggle with single word analysis. It’s based on @Xris32’s ‘words, words, words’ idea and ‘what does a writer want/need’ blog. Use/chuck/change as you see fit! https://t.co/SAZnRV9C4Q @Team_English1
THREAD: Here’s a heap of resources I’ve made for use with An Inspector Calls. Dropbox link at the end of the thread. Help yourself.@Team_English1@EnglishWales
First, there’s 5 of these writing tasks, cultivating a personal, evaluative response, like so 👇
Next set of ‘Extension Extracts’ will be going out to Y10/Y11 this week. Simple tasks that are accessible yet push all to read beyond and around what is focused on in class. Pleased with their impact so far. 📚#historyteacher
