@SyncXmA She liked how dedicated a fan was. There were no race issue. The problem is the loudest are the ones who enjoyed what they thought was representation and got tilted over her enjoying it. And because they're like that, an apology (which she didn't have to do) was never enough.
@Crediblemelon@empatheticcain It's ridiculous anyway, instantly making a separate universe where she doesn't take her father's role during the Beyond Arc, never moves to Blüdhaven w/ Grayson, pretty much rendering her as "the guy in the chair" with Alfred, Fox, and The Penguin in some places.
@TheepicFrancis@empatheticcain So you do understand that she is just used for representation points, trying to contain her away from the established world. But you know what, I'm off it. They made their decision. But with DC: KO/Absolute existing, that version is considered canon as well as all other variants.
@Crediblemelon@empatheticcain It was her way of gaining her independence and still fight crime but from a different position. Where does it say that she wants to stay immobilized? I'll wait.
@Crediblemelon@hyfenphaye@empatheticcain That's apples and oranges. The physical is easily repaired than the mental and you know it. The whole premise of the franchise is dealing with those who are disturbed but keeping them alive so they can rehabilitate. Bones break, but they can heal. The mind is harder to fix.
@TheepicFrancis@empatheticcain This is ridiculous. Batman also had a disabled moment. Why is it that it's okay for him to come back from BROKEN SPINE thanks to Bane but she has stay that way for representation only? Or worse, Jason Todd dying but it's okay for him to come back to life as the Red Hood?
@hyfenphaye@empatheticcain From either perspective this character plot couldn't last very long when they are in the same universe where those who died get a chance to live through the Lazarus pits. This world has advanced alien technology. Any author worth their salt would know that this end is inevitable.
@TheepicFrancis@empatheticcain "Ablelist baggage leaking in"... cause there's an opportunity to get better, but I'm the bad gal for stating that Barbs took that chance.
Damn. They were right. You definitely CAN'T help someone who doesn't want to help themselves.
Lost cause, cuz. Lost cause.
