Teddy Roosevelt created or strengthened the institutions that led to so much corporate corruption within government.

He helped shift the answer to "How do I run a successful business?" from "provide the best product or service" to "get in tight with people in government."

It's wild to watch people like @Shanemgillis get so close. They can identify a problem, but they continue to push "solutions" that created that problem in the first place.

As the government has become the gatekeeper to growing a successful business, the incentive has switched from beating your competition in the market to destroying your competition with permits and regulations.

You will not get less corruption with more government. You will get it with less, because government control is the source and root cause of that corruption.
