Get permanent strong leadership and staff. Get strong strategies for behaviour. You can turn this round. There are lots of positives in OFSTED report. School can become good again and then pupils will come.
Don’t forget Raine’s has a much higher indicator of disadvantage than Oaklands and extremely high compared to national figures. And yet 6 th form manages to compare nationally. Anyone congratulated them on that?
If I were taking over a school that needed help I wouldn’t strip it of resources. I’d loan it money and not expect repayment until I’d got things up and running. Keep the strengths. Put in more permanent staff.. Results won’t be overnight.
So a LA puts in a board of Governors in 2015, maybe illegally as no Trust or Parent reps. Has a budget which means staff redundancies. Then that LA is surprised that OFSTEEd refer to inadequacies where there are temporary staff?
Hi @LDBS1836 & @dioceseoflondon please can you help students, parents and staff at #RainesFoundationSchool to understand why YOU want to close down THEIR (and YOUR) school?
Dear @DofE & @DamianHinds, #RainesFoundationSch in Bethnal Green is under threat of closure due 2 poor finances despite @Ofstednews reporting in Jan that Sch has improved greatly since Sept. Can you look into this case 2 see what you can do 2 help students, parents & staff?
