Who was Harry Jay Katz, Morris Katz’s grandfather? Here’s a 1997 Philly Mag profile that gives us a pretty harrowing portrait of the dirtbag’s “aging libertine” granddad and his many sus exploits 👇
For the DNC kleptocrats, the 2026 election is primarily about maintaining power over the Party & its lucrative donor networks, not defeating GOP, who they're aligned with against Dem insurgents. If Dems underwhelm in Nov, they'll just blame "populists", as they blamed BernieBros.
Dems sliding to midterm loss to the most unpopular president in history. Turns out that their 2026 strategy— prioritizing the preservation of the rotten party establishment, punching left & deliberately standing for nothing at all—has limited appeal.

Zamiast walczyć przeciwko walczącym o wolność, wielu z nich przeszło na stronę powstańców i stanęło do walki ramię w ramię z Haitańczykami przeciwko wojskom francuskim. Po zwycięstwie rewolucji i ogłoszeniu niepodległości w 1804 roku, pierwszy przywódca Haiti – Jean-Jacques Dessalines – oddał Polakom wielki hołd. Przyznał im pełne obywatelstwo, a w konstytucji nazwał ich „Białymi Murzynami Europy”. Były to słowa najwyższego uznania i braterstwa w tamtych czasach.
I’m 43 now. I’ve worked 50-70 hours a week my entire adult life. I’ve lost years of time with my children and loved ones just so we could afford to live. This life is not only cruel, but unnecessarily cruel. A better world is possible.
If Hitler had attacked the Soviet Union first none of the Western states would have cared. They would have sat by and watched him commit genocide against Eastern Europe. That was in fact the plan the entire time and why they supported Hitler's project up until it turned on them.
@dieworkwear Hey Derek, Kim Il-sung was a cool dude who fought to defend his people’s sovereignty against the American occupiers. America literally employed the head of Unit 731 (Shiro Ishii) to do biological warfare against his army
Umberto Eco, who owned 50,000 books, had this to say about home libraries:
“It is foolish to think that you have to read all the books you buy, as it is foolish to criticize those who buy more books than they will ever be able to read. It would be like saying that you should use all the cutlery or glasses or screwdrivers or drill bits you bought before buying new ones.
“There are things in life that we need to always have plenty of supplies, even if we will only use a small portion.
“If, for example, we consider books as medicine, we understand that it is good to have many at home rather than a few: when you want to feel better, then you go to the ‘medicine closet’ and choose a book. Not a random one, but the right book for that moment. That’s why you should always have a nutrition choice!
“Those who buy only one book, read only that one and then get rid of it. They simply apply the consumer mentality to books, that is, they consider them a consumer product, a good. Those who love books know that a book is anything but a commodity.”
