@_Mark_83 I’m a Chelsea fan and I don’t want to be put through that misery every other season. Likewise, tickets are expensive enough without having to get a flight to watch 1/3 of games. Leave us out of it ta
@KOD0903per He gifted money knowing the club would likely be fined when the new owners saw discrepancies in historic accounts. Also, FFP rules didn’t come in until 2011. City has refused to admit any wrong doing, obstructed and is costing everyone a lot of money by dragging this out
@XolidCity I want the league to offer alleviated sanctions (suspended transfer ban and points deducted) as long as anyone responsible is disqualified from any position within a pro football club in future and the club must be sold. If they refuse then relegation, fines, the lot.
@Chris_Wilde If it helps, the club is the players, coaches, staff, stadium and supporters. It’s the individuals on the board who are disregarding, disrespecting and damaging the club. Do you think if given the choice they’d step down and sell the club to avoid relegation/stripped titles?
@srinisadhanand Genuinely, do you believe if there was irrefutable evidence they wouldn’t have got it into the public domain somehow? And that the PL would waste money on charges that can be disproven at some stage, risking the league’s reputation and future?
@mancityalerts The owner is vice president of the UAE, his company that has majority shares in the club is City Football Group which is a subsidiary of the ADUG which is ultimately a subsidiary of the UAE government. The UAE is a monarchy by the way, said owner’s family.
@totalsane Yeah but those books you admit the club cheated in meant the sweat came from as many top players that Abu Dhabi’s royal family’s money could buy. I could manage a World Cup winning side if I could select players from any country I pleased…
@registarodri In the past 30 years, Bayern has won the bundesliga 22 times and the CL 3 times. Madrid has won la liga 10 times and the CL 9 times.
City has won the premier league 8 times in the past 15 years (wonder how that happened) and the CL once.
Shush
@DanisMCFC So Man City should be above the rules because of money ? If the PL applies the rules and sanctions to clubs based on their revenue then the respect and historic value of English football vanishes. What’s the stop future clubs from breaking the rules and doing the same thing?
@totalsane As opposed to the seasons when Man City farmed the league because they’d spent hundreds of millions in the transfer window? People won’t stop supporting their teams because Man City aren’t there 😂 not the most compelling defence
@thecityshack Genuine question, if the owners/directors etc were given the choice between selling the club / being disqualified from the PL and the club’s titles being stripped and/or being relegated - do you think they’d put the club first?
@City_Chief Why would the premier league spend years and millions on a fraudulent investigation, get an independent commission to go along with the charges knowing city will continue to appeal and city has evidence will disprove the charges?
@amjushere 1) only KBD joined city within the relevant time frame
2) All 4 players had international caps
3) Haaland came from Dortmund, KBD had played at Chelsea, Cherki is only 23. Rodri was at Atletico and City paid a record fee of £62.6m for him, hell of a lot for a “flop”
@aone1607 Well those clubs have had to chip in to pay for the investigations and continued hearings which minimum is like £2.5m a piece… a player diving or getting a penalty doesn’t cost the club a few million quid…
@XolidCity So you’re happy if English football is now owned and at the mercy of the UAE?
And in any other scenario “only 114 charges” would be a wild statement 😂
