Trump is so crazy that he actually has ordered today that a new storm be brewed up over the Bahamas, to increase their suffering, and then to aim that storm at . . . ALABAMA. Really he did. We'll see if by calling this out it might end up on my porch instead.

On 9/1 the weather ch. says #Dorian will be in N. Carolina on Thurs. PM. On 9/3, after TWO DAYS w/#dorian over Bahamas, UNEXPECTEDLY STATIONARY, it will arrive . . . Thurs. PM, on schedule. A storm STILL making NO HEADWAY after currently a two day delay! #lookup

Concerning short term trends with #Dorian tonight. The storm for the last 4 recon fixes has been consistently moving south of due west.

This was suggested as a possible solution by a few members in the ECMWF ensemble guidance the last few days & it is verifying.
